Fairfield Choirs Auditions

Auditions for the 2015-2016 Fairfield choirs April 27-April 30 at Fairfield Senior High School!

Thank you for your interest in the Fairfield Choirs! This year's auditioned choirs include:

Rhythm Express (7-9th grade Mixed Show Choir)

Pure Elegance (10-12th grade Women's Show/Concert Choir)

Symphonic Choir (10-12th grade Mixed Concert Choir)

Acapocalypse (9-12th grade Mixed A Cappella Ensemble)

Choraliers (10-12th grade Mixed Show/Concert Choir)

Please follow the steps below to audition for one or more of our choirs!

1. Go to http://goo.gle/forms/CMtSRvvjJc  to complete the audition form. Note: All candidates must complete the information online prior to their audition.

2. Sign-up for a 5 minute vocal audition (timeslots available at all choir rooms 6th-12th grade beginning Fri. April 10). You will need to be prepared to sing the Star Spangled Banner (national anthem) without accompaniment. We will also check for basic musical ear training and sight-reading skills. You will also need to bring the Code of Conduct/Grade Check form fully completed to this audition. (Forms available from any vocal music teacher beginning Fri. April 10.)

3. If auditioning for a show choir, you will also need to attend the mandatory Choreography Audition which will be held Thursday, April 30 from 3:30-6 p.m. for those trying out for Rhythm Express, and 7-9:30 p.m. for those trying out for Pure Elegance and Choraliers. If auditioning for a mixed show choir, be sure to find a member of the opposite sex to dance with as we will teach some partnered choreography. Be sure to dress in comfortable clothing and footwear to move in for this audition!

4. Audition results will be posted online at fairfieldchoirs.com at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, May 1. Cast sheets will also be posted after this time at FHS, FMS, and FIS.
