The Fairfield Board of Education will meet in an organizational meeting/special meeting on January 12 at 5:00 p.m. in the Catherine D. Milligan Community Room at Fairfield High School, 8800 Holden Blvd. in Fairfield. After calling the roll, the Board will immediately proceed to Executive Session to interview candidates to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Education due to the passing of Board member Jerome Kearns. The remaining agenda for Board business will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. Any business of the Board may be discussed and/or acted upon at this meeting. There will be no regular meeting of the Board in January 2017. After the business portion of the Organizational/Special meeting, the Board may proceed to a second executive session for the following purposes:
-The appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of public employees 121.22 (G) (1)
-Court Action 121.22 (G) (3) - Pending or Imminent Litigation
-Negotiations with other subdivisions regarding economic development assistance 121.22 (G) (8).
