The OIAAA was founded in 1956 to provide a professional organization in Ohio for interscholastic athletic administrators. From its beginning, the OIAAA was established to create an exchange forum of best practices to oversee and enhance education-based athletic programs in Ohio schools. Working under the guidance of the National IAAA the state organization promotes professional growth and development of current and aspiring athletic directors across the state.
